Kick It Up A Notch!

I don’t have many guilty pleasures, but one that I won’t be giving up any time soon are the AMAZING infused Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars by Olivelle. When the mother-daughter team out of Bozeman, MT created this new line of cooking oils and vinegars, they truly gave the world a gift! Upon my first tasting of some of their oils and vinegars to decide what I wanted to take home, I was taken aback at how the fragrance and flavor of each were so intoxicating. I’m not kidding when I say I wanted to drink the Crisp Anjou Pear Balsamic vinegar straight from the bottle! These ladies KNOW how to make a top quality product!

So far I have used the vinegars I chose for salad dressings, as a dip served with a meal, for marinading steak or chicken before cooking, for sauces, and even for making a delicious sparkling water! (recipe below) The options are endless! If you need a little help deciding how to use your vinegars and oils, there are many recipe cards available, complete with inspiring photography and easy directions, to get you started and give you additional ideas for how to use your selections.

Chocolate Espresso Balsamic, Jalapeno Lime Balsamic, Garlic & Herb Olive Oil, Blood Orange Olive Oil, Maple Wood Smoked Bacon Olive Oil, Summer Peach Balsamic… These are just a FEW of the many varieties available at the Robbins on Main store!

Not only do they make great gift ideas for holidays, birthdays, weddings, etc, but I have found a really handy use for the infused olive oils for any singers out there. I learned a trick that has proved VERY helpful for me. Before going to choir practice or singing in a performance, I’ll throw back a shot of olive oil. Can I tell you how excited I am to use some of the fruit infused olive oils just for my singing shots??

Peach Sparkling Water
Mix sparkling water with Peach Balsamic Vinegar to taste. If you want to make it an adult variety for cocktail hour, add a shot of Vodka.

Bottle sizes range from 100ml to 750 ml, and when you return your clean empty bottle to the store, you receive $3 off your new bottle of olive oil or balsamic vinegar.
